High Resolution Images from Apollo Missions on Moon Landing

In 1968, The Apollo program launched its first manned mission into low Earth orbit. The following year, the Apollo 11 mission brought humans to the Moon. The historic program pushed the limits of science, technology and our imaginations. And a large part of that was due to the photographs that were taken by astronauts. From the candid zero-gravity shots to the pale blue dot, pictures from the Apollo mission changed how the public saw the universe.

Now, 47 years later, Kipp Teague, a space enthusiast and archivist in Virginia, just posted a massive amount — 8,400 in total — of previously unreleased high-resolution photos.

We've looked through every single image and culled the best of the best from every mission.
